Nature credits can reward farmers for storing carbon in their soils, restoring biodiversity and improving soil health, but the market has been built around large holdings. PATH2CC is developing a simpler, science-based route for small farms, and Juntos Farm leads the pilot testing. Alongside a conventional farm in Ukraine and a research farm in Finland, Juntos tests the method in a regenerative setting. It collects data on soil, crops, practices and biodiversity, applies the assessment, and tries out models for generating and selling credits. The farm also helps shape the data collection tool and the handbook for small farms, and takes part in farmer interviews, workshops and [conversations with potential local credit buyers]
